Banana flower fritters

Ingredients:

Florets—of one banana flower

Besan—2 table spoon

Rice flour—1 tea spoon

Salt—to taste

Turmeric—as required

Onion—1 (finely chopped)

Long coriander—1 bunch (finely chopped)

Green chillies or peppercorns—quantity as per choice (chop the chillies or pound the peppercorns)

Ginger—a 1-inch piece (chopped)

Garlic—8 cloves (chopped)

Water—for mixing

Oil—to fry

Whole Cumin seeds—a pinch

Method:

Wash the banana flower.

Do not discard the florets after removing the bracts. Collect the florets.

Remove the stigma of the florets. It is hard and not digestible. You can also remove the perianth if you want. I however retain it.

Chop the florets. To take away the slight bitter taste of the florets, fry them for one minute. For frying use half tea spoon mustard oil. Add the whole cumin seeds, salt and turmeric.

Now take all the ingredients including the slightly fried chopped florets in a mixing bowl.

Mix all the ingredients using a little water at a time. Shape the batter.

Place a pan on the stove. Heat oil. And start frying the shaped batter.

Once both sides of the batter is fried, take them out.

Serve hot with black tea. I really enjoy my black tea with some spicy and crunchy snacks, and more so on a rainy day.

কাষত থকা বড় কেইটা পেলাই দিয়া তৰপৰ  কলফুল বোৰ পেলাই নিদি মাজৰ কাঁঠিটো এৰুৱাই ল’ব ।মিহিকৈ কাটক ; এচামুচ তেল কেৰাহিত দি গোটা  জিৰা দুটামান ফোঁৰণ দি এচিকুট হালধি,নিমখ দি অলপ ভাজি লৈ নমাই ঠাণ্ডা হ’লে ২টেবুল চামুচ বেচন ,এচামুচ পিঠাগুড়ি,নিমখ -হালধি জোখত ,মিহিকৈ কটা ১টা পিয়াজ ,এমুঠি মানধনিয়া,কেঁচা জলকীয়া খোৱা অনুপাতে,নহৰু-আদা বটা অলপ অলপ দি কম পানীৰে সানি তেলত ড্ৰীপ ফ্ৰাই কৰি চাহৰ লগত বা ভাতৰ লগত সন্তানৰ হাতত তুলি দিয়ক ।অতি স্বাস্হ্যকৰ মুখৰোচক ।
